If you are chronically sick or disabled, you can claim VAT Relief on products shown with "VAT Relief Eligible Product" (refer below symbol), if the goods are for your own personal or domestic use.
A person is ‘chronically sick or disabled’ if he/she is a person:
- with a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term effect on their ability to carry out everyday activities
- with a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness (example: diabetes )
- who is terminally ill
It does not include a frail, elderly person who is only temporarily disabled or incapacitated as with a broken limb.
If you are unsure, seek guidance from your GP or other Medical Professional.
If you are acting on behalf of a ‘chronically sick or disabled person’ your supply is treated as being made to that person.
To claim VAT Relief, just add the product(s) you wish to purchase to the shopping basket and complete the eligibility declaration form for VAT Relief during the checkout process.
The checkout will process your order for the full amount. We will refund you the VAT relief that you are entitled to on your product(s) on the same working day, or at latest the following working day, via PayPal.
Alternatively, we can send you a PayPal request for your payment for the amount, less the VAT. If you have any questions, please email us via our CONTACT PAGE or call us on 0800 772 3771.
By completing our online VAT Relief declaration, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions for claiming VAT Relief under Schedule 8, Group 12 VAT Act 1994
Please note that VAT refunds must be claimed before 28 days of when the original order was placed, otherwise they will be subject to deduction of PayPal fees of 3.4%. We are unable to claim back fees after this period and we therefore have to pass this cost on to you, the customer.
