Although founder Fiona Jarvis developed MS over 20 years ago, she has refused to give up being stylish. Whether that’s eating in smart restaurants, wearing elegant clothes or going on glamorous holidays Fiona is determined not to compromise on style, regardless of her mobility.
Supported by a dedicated team, Fiona created Blue Badge Style the first app and website guide to a stylish lifestyle for the less-physically-able. Likened to an online ‘Vogue/Michelin-like guide for less-physically-able people’ and their friends and families, it rates and recommends places based on style, accessibility and disabled facilities. Blue Badge Style’s aim is for ‘As Recommended by Blue Badge Style’ to be an aspirational goal for any item, organisation or establishment, starting in Europe but they have their eyes set on going global.
Blue Badge Style regularly reviews restaurants, hotels, bars and disability products and informs on where to go, what to do and what to buy. They also host the annual Blades Awards event for stylish and accessible venues. Anyone can submit a review and the app can locate local stylish restaurant/bars and advises you if there is a problem with disabled access or facilities.
We work closely with Blue Badge Style, submitting many of our stylish products for review and designed2enable were delighted to be awarded their prestigious three ticks logo in 2013 which is proudly displayed on our website.
