The Standard Flexyfoot ferrule is suitable for most crutches, canes and walking sticks. If you are new to Flexyfoot then this is the ferrule to buy.
Generally, ferrules do not bend and cannot fully grip surfaces.
The Flexyfoot ferrule is innovative and is made up of two parts – a collar and pleated bellows. It’s the clever design of the bellows that takes the impact out of walking as it’s like having a spring on the foot of your walking aid. Flexyfoot's unique design works like the suspension system on a 4×4. The flexible bellows absorb shock each time your stick touches the ground so your step is completely cushioned and reduces the jarring pain in the arms, shoulders, wrists, elbows, back, and neck.
The NEW foot tread has been developed to provide improved grip on wet and shiny surfaces, proving up to 250% better at gripping and reducing slips, trips and falls.
You can purchase Flexyfoot Standard Ferrules in grey or black and four sizes are available, depending on the diameter of your walking aid. If you use a pair of crutches or a pair of walking sticks you will need to buy two packs of singles and it is always worthwhile having one or two spares.
The maximum user weight is 125 KG. The height of the ferrule is 35 mm, which needs to be taken into account if using to replace a ferrule on another walking aid.
Have you seen the grippy Flexyfoot Ice Boot which fits snuggly over the end of the ferrule for use in snow and ice which are worthwhile for helping to keep you safe on the slippery ground?
